Nonviolent communication and intuition

How can nonviolent communication be a tool to sharpen your intuition, or is your intuition a tool to communicate with more connection? In this workshop, we explore this question and conclude with practical tips to work with more confidence as a trainer/facilitator with your group.

Do you recognize the following situations?

As a trainer, you don’t understand all the participants equally well. A few examples: you have the feeling that someone is not interested in your training—so why are they even here? Or, you notice that they don’t take your assignments seriously and treat them in a mocking way. Another participant is overwhelmed with emotions, and it’s unclear what this is about. Working with groups requires the skill to attune to both each individual and the group as a whole. When we truly internalize the principle of nonviolent communication, we experience that everything is connected. We are all part of a larger whole, and each of us has a unique place within it. This is where the attunement happens.

Every group moves like its own ‘entity’ and thus carries its own theme. To understand this theme, you need your intuitive knowing: what theme is alive in this group? We will explore, practice, and share our experiences and wisdom.

• To understand the foundational attitude needed to communicate in a connective way.
• To explore what a group’s theme could be.
• To learn how to engage with the group’s theme and nonviolent communication.
