Types of Intuition Scale

The Types of Intuition Scale is a validated questionnaire designed to measure three distinct types of intuition: holistic, inferential, and affective. Holistic intuition involves recognizing patterns and integrating complex information, inferential intuition relies on logical connections and reasoning, and affective intuition is guided by emotions and gut feelings.

This scale can be used to assess an individual’s dominant intuitive tendencies and provide insights into how they process information intuitively. It is ideal for trainers and participants looking to reflect on their intuitive styles and apply this understanding to enhance decision-making in both personal and professional contexts. The questionnaire can be administered at different stages of a session—before, during, or after—to support self-awareness and facilitate deeper discussions on intuitive practices.

This resource is based on the Types of Intuition Scale developed by Pretz et al. (2014), which builds on the theory proposed by Pretz & Totz (2007) identifying three distinct types of intuition: holistic, inferential, and affective.
