Laughter

Laughter has a way of clearing the mind and bringing you into the present moment. This exercise uses laughter to help you step out of overthinking and into a state of natural awareness.

Start by sitting in a group and pretending to laugh – yes, fake it! The forced laughter may feel silly at first, but soon, it turns into real laughter. Let it flow for a few minutes. Then, as the laughter fades, sit in silence and observe how you feel.

You may notice that your mind is quieter, your body more relaxed, and your awareness more open. Laughter temporarily wipes away mental clutter, making it easier to access intuition and creativity. This is a great exercise for trainers who want to create a relaxed, open learning environment or for anyone needing a quick reset from stress.

This practice is based on positive psychology and laughter therapy. Research shows that laughter interrupts stress patterns, increases neuroplasticity, and fosters emotional resilience.
