Energy sharing

This exercise is designed to help participants build intuitive connections and mutual support. In pairs, each participant begins by reflecting on any physical or emotional area where they feel they need support, such as tension in the shoulders or an emotional difficulty. They share this need with their partner briefly, offering a simple statement like, “I feel tension in my shoulders.” The partner providing support then visualizes sending warm, comforting energy to the area mentioned, enhancing this visualization with small, symbolic actions, such as lightly placing their hand on their own shoulder to “transmit” the energy. For five minutes, the partner focuses on offering support while observing any sensations or emotions that arise. Afterward, roles are switched so both partners have the opportunity to give and receive. Once the exercise is complete, participants reflect together, discussing any insights, sensations, or emotions they noticed during the process.

This resource is inspired by Martine van der Meulen’s work as a hypnotherapist and bodyworker, presented during the Source4Success Community Meeting (November 2023). It integrates principles of body awareness and the therapeutic power of touch.
