A ritual for starting and a ritual for ending the session. The role of ritual is significant, dating back to ancient times, and every person needs to participate in and create rituals.
A white paper strip is placed on the floor across the middle of the space. The facilitator presents different criteria for participants to choose a side, e.g., "Are you a sea or a river? A leaf or a pen? The sun or a star?"
Each participant receives a shoebox and materials for drawing and collaging. The task is to design the outside of the box to represent how they believe others perceive them and the inside to reflect their true inner selves.
